All you kind donors are asked to fill a shoebox with presents (toys, hygiene and beauty products for teens, sweets, stationery, school supplies or anything your child would be happy with for Xmas) and label it with the AGE and GENDER of the recipient - e.g. girl, 6 years old. You might also put in a personal message, a photo or a drawing.

ON TOP we also collect separately this year any already opened but not wanted beauty and hygiene products that our teenager recipients or their mums would be happy with: a perfume you don't like anymore, nail varnish you only used twice but the colour is out of fashion at the moment, same goes for hair products, body wash and lotion, facial products, period products: pads and tampons, anything you can think of, EXCEPT FOR applied-directly-on-skin products like used make-up, soap or roll-ons. (Happy to accept these too when unopened!)

 

How does the shoebox reach the children?

GRENZENLOSE KINDERHILFE delivers your gift directly into the hands of the children. Last year their trucks traveled 12'000 kms to sweeten the children's Christmas.

We are excited to announce that the Help Children Without Borders Foundation – Grenzenlose Kinderhilfe is organizing its 8th annual Shoebox Campaign. Thanks to your support over the years, you have played a significant role in bringing joy to thousands of children during Christmas!

 

To date, we have managed to provide Christmas gifts to nearly 12,000 children in need across Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Austria, Kosovo, and Poland.

This year, the need for your help is greater than ever.

The war in Ukraine has put many children in desperate situations, and there is a significant need for support. Additionally, we aim to extend our help to children in Poland affected by flood damage, who are living under extremely difficult circumstances. We also continue to support children living in deep poverty in Romania, who have benefited greatly from your generous donations in the past.

Our Shoebox Campaign is not just about gifts; it's about delivering love, hope, and care to these children.

​

How can you help this year?

• Consider placing our donation boxes (provided by us) in high-traffic retail locations such as pharmacies, bakeries, or flower shops to help cover our shipping costs and create new packages.

• Please spread the word about the opportunity to set up collection points, especially to schools, kindergartens, companies, and stores. Schools and companies are particularly important for collections, as they can organize large amounts of donations that can make many children's Christmas more joyful.

• Supporting our logistical expenses with a monetary donation would be a great help. The transportation cost for one box is approximately 6 Euros, but this greatly assists in ensuring that the gifts reach the children most in need on time.
